Port Antonio Transportation
Most travelers rent cars
before they arrive in Port
Antonio, but there are a
few car rental agencies in
town.
Taxis are available but not in
the numbers found in the main
resort areas.
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB)
publishes recommended fares
for popular routes but it is
always a good idea to discuss
price before boarding a
vehicle. Taxi and van drivers
are licensed by the JTB; look
for the red license plates
marked PPV and the "Team
Jamaica" sticker.
