Transportation to and around Negril
Visitors
to the Negril area have a number
of options with regard to local
transportation. Car rental agencies
abound in both Montego Bay (at
or near the airport) and
 Negril
as do chauffeured vehicles ranging
from 50-seater coaches operated
by the large tour companies
to privately-owned vans and
taxis.
The
Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB)
publishes recommended fares
for popular routes but it is
always a good idea to discuss
price before boarding a vehicle.
Taxi and van drivers are licensed
by the JTB; look for the red
license plates marked PPV and
the "Team Jamaica"
sticker.
Motor
bike rentals are also popular
in Negril and we strongly recommend
that drivers of these vehicles
wear proper protective gear.
