Montego Bay Transportation
Visitors to the Montego Bay
area have a number of options
with regard to local
transportation. Car rental
agencies abound as do
chauffeured vehicles
r anging
from 50-seater coaches
operated by the large tour
companies to privately-owned
vans and taxis.
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB)
publishes recommended fares
for popular routes but it is
always a good idea to discuss
price before boarding a
vehicle. Taxi and van drivers
are licensed by the JTB; look
for the red license plates
marked PPV and the "Team
Jamaica" sticker.
